Were almost at the end of the craziest week of the year - everything from photos to class registration and text books has been covered and its almost a relief to be in the safety of the timetable (where everything is constant and one is not living in fear of missing that important meeting...). Its awesome to have the boys back again and, although I admit the break was amazing (surfing in the Transkei..!!), having the guys back is great. Sharing stories from the Hols is always a pleasure and I am glad everyone returned safe and sound.
The New boys seem like a great bunch of guys. We have a impressive balance of boys in the D dorm . Some very bright boys, others sporting and others musical - I-H quiz, junior sport and music is ours! Its always hard for the guys at first but I know that they will get through. The matrics have been really awesome, not only with the new boys but with the whole House. They have really matured into a great bunch of guys and I am loving the opportunity to work with them.

Well it’s here again...the start of a new school year. I hope that you all had a wonderful rest and joyous Christmas celebration, all of which must seem like a distant memory by now. Although the holidays seemed to fly by, I am sure that everyone is ready and rearing to go. I am very excited at the prospect of the new-year. We have a strong matric leadership group in place and some lofty goals to achieve.
Lionel (our new Assistant Housemaster) and Tarryn Randal have successfully negotiated their move to Lucas House. We are thrilled to have them as a part of our team. I have worked a lot with Lionel around the water polo pool and find him to be passionate, disciplined and an inspiring role model. I am looking forward to his significant and positive contribution.
